Remove the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and then also, discharge the air bag unit. Let the steering column covers be some of the things that you disassemble first. The turn signal/headlight switch can be accessed through the multi-function switch housing; this can be dem charcoal by pulling the switch out of the housing after removing the two retainers screws and detaching the electrical connector. They basically entail the opposite, that is, installation is the process of putting back things in their rightful place. For the wiper/washer switch, there is a connector which has to be removed, then the switch is to be unbolted by the removal of screws, and finally the switch is pulled out of the housing. Removal on its part is the exact opposite of installation. The multi-function switch assembly part is the turn signal/headlight switch, the windshield wiper/washer switch and the housing switch. The multi-function switch assembly is not typically removed unless the steering column is to be disassembled, so it probably will not be needed. Disconnect and take out the steering wheel, inflating air bag, and clock spring assembly. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the multi-function switch, and then take the three mounting screws out, and then take the switch OFF the steering column. Installation is the process of putting an installation back into an original state which is the opposite of the removal process.
