In this step, it is necessary to disconnect a cable coming from the negative terminal of the car battery to eliminate any danger of sparks. Remove the power steering fluid using a large syringe or suction gun and drain the fluid in a large container while pulling out the hoses. Subsequently, address the following procedures: the drivebelt's removal, loosening of the right front wheel lug nuts, lifting the front part of the vehicle until it rests on jackstands, and ensuring the provided support's stability. Replace the wheel and the right side engine under cover. Disconnect the electrical connector of the power steering fluid pressure switch, and use the flare-nut wrench and undo the pressure line/pump fitting in order to avoid bending the corners. Undoing the hose clamp and disconnect the return hose from the pump. Disconnect the power steering pump from the engine; unbolt the two mounting nuts which are tighten by the power steing unconscious to the pump-to-mounting bracket nuts and these are accessible through the holes in the pump pulley utilizing the short extension, socket. For installation, perform the reverse of the above procedures and it is important to tightened the mounting bolts/nuts and the pressure line fitting to the required torque. Place the engine under cover, wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle and finally tighten the lug nuts to the torque limit. Last but not least, add the fluid in the reservoir and remove any air trapped in the system.
