You will need to unscrew the rear wheel lug nuts and then jack up the rear of the vehicle placing it on jack stands. There are bolts or nuts used to fix the sway bar to the axle beam; you can simply unscrew to remove the rear sway bar. The sway bar is placed at the interior part of the open back of the U-channel axle beam, and in order to remove the sway bar, two bolts need to be removed and on some cases, use the prybar in order to detach the sway bar from the axle beam. For installation reverse the removal process and make sure that a mark at the upper side of the bar is placed at left side of the axle beam. Last of all, it is suggested to use a wrench to further tighten those bolts or nuts to the required torque.
