For the passenger's airbag, deactivate the airbag system, remove the upper facia panel, and then the two retaining nuts before prising up the clips to release the unit. During refitting, keep the battery disconnected, ensure the wiring harness is routed correctly, and tighten the mounting nuts. To remove the airbag clockspring, first take out the driver's airbag unit, then the steering wheel and column shrouds.
