How to remove and refit the Center Console Base on a Toyota Echo?

To remove the console, the following are the process; On the models that hold the gear knob, one has to loosen it before removing it. Subsequently, take out the mat on the rear most storage space for the console and then take out the bolt that would be attached underneath it. Pull the trim panel covering the hand brake lever, slide the console up and over the hand brake lever off the clips in place. For models with stick shift, pass the gaiter over the gear stick. When it's time to fully remove the console it is advised to cut any necessary wiring plugs off of the console switches. To refit, just perform the steps in the reverse of the steps that were done in the removal process.
