It therefore requires that any rear suspension arms that were removed or replaced be refitted, loosely tightened, positioned to its normal ride-height angle and then again tightened until fully tight. First of all shift the wheel lug nuts to the loose position then jack up the car and securely place it on jack stands then remove the wheel. After this, unscrew the strut rod-to-axle carrier bolt and then also contract the strut rod-to-body bracket to remove the rod from the vehicle. In the process of removing the strut bolt it may be required that the parking brake cable bracket be detached. During installation reverse the sequence of removal and always tighten the bolts to the prescribed torque.
