How to Disconnect and Remove Car Speakers on a Toyota Land Cruiser?

Disconnect the negative battery cable, ensuring you have the correct activation code for the stereo's anti-theft system if applicable. For earlier models, detach the radio control knobs, use a deep socket to remove the control shaft nuts and washers, and then take off the radio trim bezel. For later models, remove the instrument cluster bezel. Remove the retaining screws and pull the radio outward to access the backside, disconnecting the electrical connectors and antenna lead before lifting the radio out of the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal. For early models with an instrument panel mounted front speaker, remove the radio as described, then take out the instrument panel glove compartment. Working through the radio and glove compartment opening, detach the speaker retaining screws and electrical connector, then withdraw the speaker from the instrument panel. For later models with door mounted front speakers, remove the door trim panels, then take out the speaker retaining screws, disconnect the electrical connector, and remove the speaker from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal.

Q: How to Disconnect and Remove Car Speakers on a Toyota Land Cruiser?
