The electrical paths of the vehicle are protected by fuses, circuit breakers and fusible links; fuse boxes are placed under the dashboard and in the hood depending of the year of the model. Every fuse is provided to safeguard some particular circuit and this fact can be learned from the top of the fuse panel. Mini fuse which has a blade terminal on them are employed in the fuse blocks and can thus be conveniently pulled out or inserted using fingertips. If the electrical part does not work, starting with checking the fuse is appropriate, and then use of the test light to determine the existence of power at the exposed terminal ends; if power is obtained on one end and not at the other end, the fuse is blown and this can also be determined by a look at the fuse. Everlasting fuses must be replaced with the right type fuses since fuses of distinct ratings may look identical but should not be replaced with another rating since this may harm the electrical circuit. If the fuse blows out again, it should not be replaced with another one before one understands that it is always caused by either a short circuit often as a result of a bad wire or wire that has aged.
