Remove the center console to gain access to the parking brake cable adjuster. With the lever in the down position, remove the locknut and the adjusting nut, then detach the cable from the lever. Working under the vehicle, pull the cable to the rear and through the hole in the floor pan. Unbolt the cable brackets from the frame, then remove the clevis pin and clip from the bell crank. Detach the bolt from the clamp located on the equalizer and remove the cable from the vehicle. Installation is the reverse of removal, applying a light coat of grease to the portion of the cable end that contacts the equalizer, and adjust the parking brake lever as previously outlined.
