Loosen the pump drive belt and slip it over the pulley. Using a suction gun, withdraw as much power steering fluid from the reservoir as possible, then position a drain pan under the pump and disconnect the high-pressure line and fluid return hose, capping the ends of the lines to prevent excessive fluid leakage and the entry of contaminants. For vehicles equipped with 2F and 3F-E engines, remove the mounting bolts from the front of the pump, while for those with 1FZ-FE engines, remove the bolts attaching the steering pump to the engine block and then lift the pump from the engine. The installation of the power steering pump follows the reverse of the removal procedure, ensuring to replace the O-ring located between the engine block and power steering pump for 1FZ-FE engines.
