The vehicles covered are equipped with a mast-type antenna attached to the roof. If the antenna mast is damaged, it can be removed by turning it counterclockwise, and wrapping the antenna with tape provides a good grip for hand removal. The antenna cable runs from the radio up through the passenger-side windshield pillar under the headliner. Removing all the panels and the headliner for access to the cables or replacement of the antenna mast base is a difficult job for the home mechanic and is best left to a qualified shop.
