The EGR system includes the EGR valve, the EGR cooler assembly, hoses, the ECM, and the wiring harnesses; the ECM regulates the working of the EGR valve. To get to the EGR valve and its cooler, it's necessary first to remove the windshield wiper motor and the linkage, and then the cowl top panel. Some engine coolant and air filter housing have to be drained. Subsequently, remove the two wiring harness clamps off the EGR tube and the wiring harness support bracket, then the EGR tube gasket, and finally the EGR tube. Remove the four coolant hoses from the EGR cooler and remove also the wiring along with the wiring harness clamps from the EGR valve.
