    Q: How to remove and reinstall the steering column covers on Toyota Prius?
    A:
    For models from 2001 to 2003, begin by removing the three screws to take off the lower column cover, then detach the upper cover by removing a single screw, and reinstall by reversing the removal steps. For models from 2004 to 2009, first remove two screws to separate the tilt lever bracket from the lower column cover, then turn the steering wheel to access and remove the two upper screws, followed by taking out three screws from the bottom of the covers and releasing four clips while pulling off the column covers, with reinstallation done in reverse order. For models from 2010 and later, set the steering column to its lowest and fully extended position, push in the sides of the lower cover to release clips, reach into the tilt lever opening to detach additional clips, turn the wheel a quarter turn to the right, use a screwdriver to release the clip connecting the lower cover to the upper, turn the wheel a half turn to the left and repeat the previous step, then pull the lower cover straight down to remove it, disengage clips near the steering wheel to pull off the upper cover, and reinstall by reversing the removal process.
