How to remove and install the Ignition Lock Cylinder and Ignition Switch on a Toyota Sequoia?

Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery, then remove the left-side under-dash panel. Next, remove the headlight/turn signal switch and unplug the electrical connectors from the rear of the ignition switch. Disengage the two mounting clips and detach the switch from the lock cylinder housing, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the lock cylinder, use a small screwdriver to push the locking tabs outwards on the transponder key amplifier or the key light assembly, then slide the unit off the end of the key ignition lock cylinder housing. Insert the ignition key and turn it to the ACC position, then insert a small screwdriver into the hole in the bottom of the ignition switch casting and press the release button while pulling the lock cylinder straight out, with installation again being the reverse of removal.

The Toyota Sequoia Ignition Lock Cylinder is a part that allows a driver to energize the vehicle through the insertion and turning of a matching key.
