To get rid of the timing chain assembly, began by taking off the driving belt and the tensioner followed by the removal of idler pulleys. Synchronize the engine to the top dead center and then un-loosen the crankshaft pulley, use right and appropriate tools to avoid scratching. After that, undo both timing cover bolts and the water inlet with the use of a new O-ring and gasket being disposed. Loosen the timing chain cover at specific times to avoid damage, and replace the old crankshaft seal without marring the bore. Make sure that the piston of the No. 1 cylinder is close to TDC, then align it if necessary. Secure the tensioner plunger in the retarded mode and unbolt the tensioner and the components of chain taking note of their position. Measure all parts to see if there is chain stretch and sprocket diameters and to check tensioners and dampers for signs of extreme wear. For unleashing, lock the tensioner plunger, fit the timing chains ensuring the yellow links are fitted in the timing marks, and fasten the sprockets. It is followed by the installation of crankshaft timing sprocket, idler sprocket and checking the positioning of the timing mark. The long timing chain should be set in its proper location with the links and timing marks interlocking; the tensioner then be locked and the timing chain cover fitted with new sealant. Lastly, return all elements back in the proper sequence, put the oil and the coolant back into the engine, connect the battery and power up the engine to check for any signs of leakage.
