How to check and replace the camshaft position sensor?

The camshaft position sensor affects the position for constant fuel injection in each cylinder. On four-cylinder engines, it is on the back of the cylinder head, while V6 engines have it on the front. If there is a problem with the camshaft sensor circuits, it will send a diagnostic trouble code. To check the camshaft sensor, begin by disconnecting the electrical connector at the sensor. Use an ohmmeter to probe the two terminals. For camshaft sensor replacement, ensure the ignition key is in the OFF position. Disconnect the harness connector, remove the mounting screws, and proceed to remove the camshaft sensor from the cylinder head.
