Where is the ECM located and How to check and replace it on Toyota Tacoma?

The ECM on all models is located in the right front corner of the passenger compartment behind the glovebox, which needs to be removed for access. While the engine is running, tap vigorously on the side of the computer if it is not functioning properly, as this may cause the engine to stumble or stall and display glitches on the engine data stream obtained using a diagnostic tool. If the ECM fails this test, check the electrical connectors, which are color-coded to fit their respective slots in the computer body. For T100 models, the ECM is located behind the side trim panel, while on 4Runner and Tacoma models, it is behind the glove box.
