Before starting, get the right transmission fluid and tools like jackstands, a 10mm Allen wrench, and a drain pan. Warm up the vehicle, then raise it on jackstands. Position the drain pan under the transaxle pan's drain plug, remove the plug, and let the fluid drain. Reinstall the plug, then remove the front transaxle pan bolts and loosen the rear ones to drain the rest of the fluid. Remove the filter, install a new one, and clean the gasket surfaces. Clean the pan with solvent, dry it, and install a new gasket. Remove the differential drain plug, drain the fluid, and reinstall the plug. Add new fluid to the differential until it overflows slightly. Lower the vehicle, add new fluid to the transaxle via the dipstick tube, and check the level periodically. Start the engine, shift the selector through all positions, and check the fluid level again.
