Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the front wheel. Next, remove the front
Bumper. Detach the mud flaps, fender flares if equipped, inner fender rubber seal, and wheel housing splash shields from the fender by removing the bolts retaining the mud flaps and detaching the splash shields after removing the plastic clips, noting that the number of clips varies by year and trim options. The splash shields are attached between the frame and the fender with plastic screws and clips; remove the plastic Phillips head screw in the center and pry the clips out. Pry up the retaining pins and lift the weather strip off, then remove the retaining bolts from the top edge of the fender, ensuring to pry the retaining clips up as the weather strip is removed. Remove the remaining bolts and detach the fender from the vehicle by taking out the bolt securing the lower rear edge, the bolt retaining the inner rear edge, and the bolt retaining the rear upper edge while opening the door to access the last bolt. After removing the fasteners from the front of the fender, take out the fender, ideally with the help of an assistant to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring all fasteners are tightened securely.
