    Q:
How to replace the front crankshaft seal on V6 engine on Toyota Camry? Posted by Customer
    A:
First of all, remove the crankshaft pulley and pry out the seal from the timing chain cover, ensuring not scratch the crankshaft. Clean the bore in the cover and apply oil or grease to the new seal. Use a seal driver or socket to drive the new Crankshaft Seal into place with a hammer. Check the seal's spring hasn't dislodged.

    Q:
How to replace the Crankshaft Seal on a Toyota Prius? Posted by Customer
    A:
Remove the transaxle and then the flywheel. Pry the Crankshaft Seal from the rear of the engine using a screwdriver, taking care not to nick or scratch the crankshaft. If the seal is difficult to remove, carefully screw a sheet metal screw into it and pull. Ensure to note how far the seal is recessed into the bore for proper installation of the new seal. Clean the seal bore thoroughly with a shop towel, removing all oil and dirt. Lubricate the outside diameter of the new seal and, using a seal installation tool, install it over the end of the crankshaft, driving it squarely into the seal bore until it is flush with the edge of the seal retainer. Finally, reinstall the flywheel and damper, followed by the transaxle.
