Toyota 48530-0C100 Shock Absorber Assembly Rear Left

Loosen the rear wheel lug nuts. Raise the rear of the vehicle and support it securely on jackstands. Block the front wheels so the vehicle doesn't roll off the stands. Remove the rear wheels. Support the rear axle or control arm with a floor jack, placed near the shock absorber to be changed. On Sequoia models, mark the height control sensor link-to-bracket, remove the nut and disconnect the sensor link from the bracket. Remove the shock absorber lower mounting bolt. On Sequoia models, it may be necessary to disconnect the rear exhaust system to access the mounting bolts. Remove the shock absorber upper mounting nut. Remove the shock absorber. Note the arrangement of the retainers and cushions. Installation is the reverse of removal. Tighten the mounting fasteners. Tighten the lug nuts.
