    To check shock absorbers, push down and release the vehicle at each corner. If the vehicle doesn't return to a level position within one or two bounces, the shocks/struts are likely worn and should be replaced. Worn shocks/struts can cause symptoms such as excessive body movement on rough roads. While bouncing the vehicle, listen for squeaks and noises from the suspension components.
