    How to remove the Center Console Base on a 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner? Posted by Customer

    Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal. Using a trim slick, carefully disengage the clips securing the shifter bezel, then remove the bezel. Next, using a trim stick, carefully disengage the clips securing the lower shifter bezel, then remove that bezel as well. Open the center console door and remove the retaining fasteners inside the console compartment that secure the rear half of the console. Remove the fasteners at the front of the console. Disengage the instrument panel center side panels from the center console, then remove the center console and disconnect any electrical connectors. Installation is the reverse of removal.
