Lift one side of your car up, stabilize it on jackstands, loosen all the nuts on the back tires, then remove them. Take off the heat shields from the exhaust system and unbolt the ball joint from the Sway Bar Kit. Also loosen the strut's top bolt if you need to remove just the strut. When you turn the nut and the ballstud moves as well, use an Allen wrench to hold the stud in place. Loosen the part that holds the Sway Bar bushing and take off both side brackets from the car's main body structure. Pulling the bars' retainers from their place in the car becomes easy with a simple rocking action. When you take apart the Sway Bar Kit, look for signs that the bushings are too worn out, not working right, become weak, or breaking. Then fix what's broken or damaged. Scrub the bar with wire brushes where the bushings move, then put on some vegetable oil to help you attach the bushings and U-brackets. Don't use petroleum-based liquids or brake fluid when doing this work. Undoing an installation works in the opposite pattern of placing parts in place.

Remove the heat insulator from the exhaust system.
