Toyota 88460-60060 Condenser Assy, Cooler

Have the refrigerant discharged by an air conditioning technician. Remove the radiator. Remove the front grille, the hood lock brace and center support brace for access. Disconnect the condenser inlet and outlet fittings. Disconnect the refrigerant line on the right side by unbolting this flange. Cap the open fittings immediately to keep moisture and contamination out of the system. Note: The leftside fitting is connected to the receiver/drier. Remove the condenser mounting bolts, pull the condenser back and lift it out. Remove the condenser mounting bolts - there is one bolt at each end. Install the condenser, brackets and bolts, making sure the rubber cushions fit on the mounting points properly. Reconnect the refrigerant lines, using new O-rings where needed. If a new condenser has been installed, add approximately 1.4 to 1.7 ounces (50 cc) of new refrigerant oil of the correct type (R-12 vs. R- 134a). Reinstall the remaining parts in the reverse order of removal. Have the system evacuated, charged and leak tested by the shop that discharged it.
