Remove the screws securing the latch to the door, then pull the latch back enough to disconnect the electrical connector at the latch. Remove the latch assembly through the door opening with the two cables from the inside door handle still attached to the latch. Installation is the reverse of removal. To remove the outside handle and lock cylinder assembly, raise the window before removing the door trim panel and watershield. Remove an access plug at the rear of the door. If the door latch was removed, leave the lock rod attached to the door handle assembly. Installation is the reverse of removal. Remove the door trim panel, disengage the handle-to-latch cables, and remove the cables from the handle. Remove the handle retaining screws and disengage the handle from the door trim panel.
