Toyota 53801-35530 Fender Sub-Assy, Front RH

Loosen the front wheel lug nuts, raise the vehicle, support it securely on jackstands, and remove the front wheel. Open the hood and detach the inner fenderwell push pins, then remove the inner fender splash shields by detaching the front portion. Remove the front bumper cover, then open the front door to remove the upper fender-to-body bolt. Remove the first rocker panel trim bolt and the wheel opening extension by carefully prying along it with a tape-covered tool to release the clips. Remove the fender-to-body lower bolts at the lower rear and front edge of the fender, followed by the upper mounting bolts along the top of the fender. Lift off the fender, ideally with assistance to prevent damage to surrounding body panels. Installation is the reverse of removal, ensuring the alignment of the fender to the hood and front edge of the door before final tightening of the fender fasteners.
