    There is an air filter in the blower housing that cleans the air before it enters the passenger compartment. Remove the glove box. Depress the filter cover retaining tabs and remove the cover. Push in the cabin air filter cover tabs and remove the cover. Remove the air filter element by sliding the filter out from the housing. Installation is the reverse of removal.

    To begin with, to remove the air filter, remove the inset in the glove box by unclipping and removing the inset from the glove box. On some models, it may be necessary to remove the glove box. Slide the filter access panel up until the tabs on the bottom of the panel are visible then remove the panel. Depress the filter cover mounting tabs and pull the cover off. Remove the air filter element. Installation is the reverse of removal.
