    How do you install the new Ball Joint using the picklefork method for the 2012 Toyota Highlander? Posted by Jiravud C.
    A:
    1. Position the new balljoint on the steering knuckle and install the nut, but don't tighten it yet. 2. Attach the balljoint to the control arm and install the bolt and nuts, tightening them to the specified torque. 3. Tighten the balljoint stud nut to the specified torque and install a new cotter pin. If the cotter pin hole doesn't line up with the slots on the nut, tighten the nut until it does line up-do not loosen the nut to insert the cotter pin. 4. Install the wheel and lug nuts, lower the vehicle, and tighten the lug nuts to the specified torque. You can Select Your Vehicle to see complete installation and repair tips.
