Toyota 33055-52010 Lever Sub-Assembly, Shift

First of all, start by removing the center console to access the automatic transmission shift levers. Unscrew the front nut and detach the shift cable end fitting. Remove the retaining plate, shift lock cable end fitting, wiring plugs, and floor bolts to take out the assembly. To remove the shift cable, jack up the car and remove the bolts securing the cable's floor plate/grommet and bracket. Draw the cable through from inside the car, disconnecting any additional brackets or clips. In the engine compartment, detach the shift cable from the transmission lever. Remove the cable carefully to avoid damage.
