Toyota 04465-02070 Front Disc Brake Pad Set

To remove and install Brake Pad Set, start by removing the cap from the brake fluid reservoir and loosening the wheel lug nuts. Then, raise the front of the vehicle and support it securely on jack stands, and remove the wheels. Inspect the brake disc carefully and machine if necessary. Work on one brake assembly at a time, using the assembled brake for reference if necessary. To install the new brake pads, push the piston back into its bore using a C-clamp, being careful not to overflow the fluid in the master cylinder. Reinstall the Brake Caliper, tightening the mounting bolts to the proper torque specifications. Firmly depress the brake pedal a few times to bring the pads into contact with the disc, and check the level of the brake fluid, adding some if necessary. Finally, tighten the wheel lug nuts to the proper torque specifications and check the operation of the brakes carefully before placing the vehicle into normal service.
