Don't adjust the gap on iridium spark plugs as it may damage the plating. Use a spark plug socket with a rubber grommet for replacement. Use manufacturer-specified iridium-tipped plugs and avoid any with cracked insulators. Remove engine cover(s) and disconnect any interfering parts. Clean any dirt with compressed air. Remove the ignition coil assembly from each plug. Apply anti-seize compound to the plug threads and use a rubber hose for alignment. Tighten the plug to the specified torque and attach the ignition coil assembly.
