Toyota 15100-21042 Pump Assembly, Oil

To remove the timing chain cover, first remove the oil pump. Inspect the pressure relief valve and oil supply jet. Clean the oil pick-up pipe and check the oil pump drive gear. Lubricate the relief valve with engine oil and check oil pump clearances. If clearances are too large or the pump is worn, replace it. When refitting, lubricate the pump rotors and position the pump into the cover. Tighten the bolts to the specified torque. Refit the oil pressure relief valve and tighten it, then refit the timing chain.
