Take out the wheel lug nuts and then lift the vehicle up so that it is supported safely on jackstands. Take off the wheel. Remove the bolt at the strut rod to axle carrier. For disconnecting of the strut rod from the rear axle carrier, remove boll; to disconnect suspension arms from the carrier, remove nut and long through-bolt. The strut rod to body bracket bolt is removed. To detach this bolt at forward end of strut rod from vehicle body and disengage rod from vehicle. Re-installation is done in reverse order of removals, ensure that bolts are fastened properly using torque wrench.

Every time there is a change of rear suspension arms or if they have to be adjusted any way, all the bolts need to be loosely tightened, the suspension then rotated to the standard ride-height position and all bolts ought to be tightened to their required tightness. First, the wheel lug nuts should be unscrewed slightly, the vehicle should be lifted and firmly place on jackstands and then the wheel is removed. Third, then and take out the strut rod-to-axle carrier bolt while holding the nut of the bolt with the help of wrench. Next, you need to loosen and take out the bolt that helps to provide connection between the forward end of the strut rod and vehicle's body to remove the strut rod. You may have to unfasten the parking brake cable bracket to enable the removal of the strut bolt. The last step is the installation of the pump where it is done in a backwards order to the removal to achieve that all the bolts are tightened to recommended torque.
