To remove the driveshaft, block the front tires to prevent rolling. The drive shaft consists of a front shaft from the transmission to the support bearing and a rear shaft from the support bearing to the rear Axle Shaft. Mark the driveshaft flanges and separate the shafts by removing the bolts and nuts. Next, remove the center bearing mount bolts and slide the front driveshaft forward, and pull it out of the transmission. Mark the rear driveshaft flange and the differential flange, then separate the rear driveshaft from the differential by removing the nuts and bolts. Lower the rear end and withdraw the driveshaft toward the rear of the vehicle. To install, follow the reverse steps of removal. Ensure the height spacer is in place and tighten the bolts.
