To replace the hazard warning switch, start by disconnecting the negative battery cable. Then, carefully remove the center cluster finish panel from the instrument panel and disconnect the electrical connector at the rear of the switch. The location of the hazard switch may vary depending on the model, either in the heating/air conditioning control panel or the center vent panel. Depress the tab and remove the switch from the bezel. For Camry models, the hazard switch is integral to the heating/air conditioning controls and must be replaced as an assembly.
