How to replace the front crankshaft seal in 3.5L V6 engine for the 2009 Toyota Sienna?

Remove the crankshaft pulley. Remove the cover of timing chain and then try to take out the seal gently using screw driver or seal removal tool Remember not to harm the crankshaft. It is advised to attach a tape around the screwdriver's tip to ensure that the housing bore and the crankshaft are not marred in the process; if the housing bore or the crankshaft is marred, there will be leaks with the new seal. Scrub the bore in the timing chain cover and paint the lip and the outside edge of the new seal with engine oil or multipurpose grease. A seal driver or a socket with an outside diameter slightly smaller than that of the seal is then impressed on the new seal and through using a hammer, the new seal should be driven into position equidistant and flush with the surface of the timing chain cover. After placing it check the seal and ensure that it is not floppy because the spring might have slipped from its position. Retinstall the crank shaft pulley and make the bolt tight. Last warming, start the engine and look for any oil leakages at the front seal.
