How to replace the front and rear brake hoses and brake line on 1997 through 2001 Toyota Avalon?

The steel brake lines should be examined for crack, worn marks or any such other damage in the rubber hoses that join the brake assemblies at front and rear about once every six months. If there are any of these symptoms, then it will be necessary to replace the hose with a new one. To begin replacing the front brake hose, loosen wheel lug nuts so as to remove wheel from vehicle which has been raised from ground and supported on jackstands. Remove the brake line fitting from the frame bracket by unscrewing it from hose using a flare-nut wrench. The U-clip should also be taken out of bracket's female fitting while passing hose through it. At hose caliper end, unscrew banjo fitting bolt to separate it from caliper while removing two copper sealing washers either side of fitting and replace them with new ones during installation. In addition, U-clip ought to be removed from strut bracket and hose feed through bracket. Also, when installing hose, its caliper fitting end is passed through strut bracket and fitting connected to caliper using banjo bolt & copper washers. Furthermore, bolt should be tightened to specified torque after engaging locating lug on fitting into hole on caliper. Metal support must be inserted into strut bracket thereby positioning U-clip properly. The brake line has to run into the frame brackets without twisting while tightening securely the brake line fitting.
