First of all, the cooling fan assembly is controlled by a temperature switch on the thermostat cover or
Radiator, which opens the fan motor relay's ground return. If the fan doesn't work, replace the motor. To replace the main cooling fan assembly, disconnect the battery cable, raise the vehicle's front, remove the left splash pan, drain the coolant, and remove the engine relay box if necessary. Remove the
Coolant Reservoir hose and upper radiator hose, unplug the cooling fan connector, unbolt the fan shroud, and remove the fan blade assembly. Remove the fan motor from the bracket. To replace the auxiliary fan assembly, disconnect the battery cable, remove the radiator shroud, remove the lower fan bracket nut, disconnect the electrical connector, remove the horn if necessary, and remove the fan retention bolts. The Installation procedure is the reverse of removal.
