On 2010 and later Lexus models, the front
Bumper cover must be removed before the grille can be removed from the cover. Open the hood, then on 2014 and later Highlander models; remove the trim panels fasteners and panels along the back sides of both headlights. On and later Highlander models, remove the radiator support panel (cool air intake duct seal) fasteners and remove the panel from the edge of the grille and the radiator support. Remove fasteners along the top edge of the grille. On 2013 and earlier models, working from the back of the grille, use a pair of pliers and squeeze the plastic retaining clips at the upper corner of both sides of the grille (Disengage the two clips on the back side of the radiator grille). Pull the top of the grille out slightly and disengage the retaining clips at the bottom of the grille with a long screwdriver. The retaining clips can be disengaged by simply pressing downward on the tabs. Once the retaining clips are disengaged, pull the grille out and remove it. Installation is the reverse of removal.
