The turn signal and hazard flasher is combined and situated at the interior
Fuse/relay box category of the Cherokee. During its smooth working, there is a click sound produced at the time of operation of the device. If for instance the turn signals fail on one side while the flasher unit does not click, or if in one side the bulb is flashing faster that usual but on the same side the bulb does not light, then that could mean that there is probably a faulty turn signal bulb. If neither of the turn signals blinks the problem could be a bad flasher unit, a bad turn signal switch, bad turn signal switch, or the flasher is not getting power. Turn signal fuse blown is very easy to diagnose by checking at the fuse box; however before installing a new turn signal fuse, the wiring should be checked for a short. Changing the flasher involves disconnecting the electrical connector and removing the unit from the electrical center; then, the replacement unit has to be an exact match for the old one: before installing the replacement, detailed comparison of the new and the old units is to be conducted; the replacement process is done in the reverse to the removal process.
