Check the fuel pressure and relieve the pressure in the fuel system. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery and detach the vacuum sensing hose from the Fuel Pressure Regulator, ensuring to disconnect the vacuum hose between the Fuel Pressure Regulator and the cold start injector vacuum switching valve (VSV). Place a suitable container or shop rag under the regulator, and using a backup wrench, disconnect the fuel pipe threaded fitting from the Fuel Pressure Regulator, also disconnecting the fuel return line threaded fitting while mopping up any spilled fuel with a shop rag. Remove the two mounting bolts to take out the Fuel Pressure Regulator, and installation is the reverse of removal.
