To remove the hood, first disconnect the windshield washer line at the washer reservoir. Next, scribe or paint alignment marks along the edges of the hood hinge upper flange and remove the hinge-to-hood mounting bolts before taking off the hood. For installation, position the hood, align the previously made marks, replace the upper hinge-to-hood mounting bolts, and tighten them, then reconnect the windshield washer line. For adjustment, loosen the hood side hinge bolts to shift the hood in the desired forward/rearward and left/right directions, noting that centering bolts cannot be adjusted in place; substitute bolts with washers for this purpose. Adjust the front edge of the hood up or down by turning the cushions, and modify the rear edge by increasing or decreasing the number of shims on the hinge-to-body mounting bolts.
