How to remove and install the starter Solenoid on Toyota MR2?

Remove the starter motor, then take off the heat insulator by removing the retaining bolt. Next, detach the nut and lead wire from the solenoid by removing the terminal nut and disconnecting the starter motor lead. Mark the starter motor and gear housing to ensure proper reassembly. Remove the two through bolts to separate the starter motor from the gear housing. Take out the old starter motor O-ring using a small screwdriver, and always install a new O-ring when putting the starter motor back. Remove the two screws to separate the gear housing from the solenoid housing. Installation follows the reverse order of removal.
