The camshaft position sensor determines the position of the cylinder for sequential fuel injection signals to each cylinder, with its location differing between models; it is mounted on the transaxle end of the engine for 2009 and earlier models, while for 2010 and later models, it is positioned at the top of the engine near the passenger's side. For 2009 and earlier models, the inverter/converter assembly must be removed, whereas for 2010 and later models, the engine top cover should be pulled off. After disconnecting the harness connector, the mounting bolt can be removed to take out the camshaft sensor from the cylinder head. Installation follows the reverse order of removal, utilizing a new O-ring lightly coated with engine oil. Finally, the cooling systems should be refilled.
