When pulling out the subframe, it is necessary to preserve the position of the steering intermediate shaft with respect to the Rack And Pinion input shaft, and having loosened the pinching bolt-disconnect the intermediate shaft. Next, take out the Rack And Pinion mounting bolts and tear the Rack And Pinion off the subframe. To do this, take out the bolts not the nuts since they have tiny tabs that prevent rotation. For the installation process, it is done in reverse of the removal process with the addition of the fact that the Rack And Pinion must be in the middle before it is installed. While connecting the Rack And Pinion input shaft to the intermediate shaft U-joint, ensure that the matchmarks are in position and fasten all the suspension and steering bolts/nuts.
