First of all, you should note that coolant is available at auto parts stores. For 2006 and earlier models, you should disconnect the battery, and remove the timing belt, camshaft sprockets, water inlet pipe,
Thermostat, and timing belt cover. Also, remove the water pump, clean the surfaces, and remove old gaskets, sealer, and O-rings. For installation, install the water pump with a metal and rubber gasket, reinstall the pump and parts, and tighten the bolts. For 2007 and later models, remove the engine/transaxle assembly, alternator, and air conditioning compressor. Remove the engine mount bracket, drive belt idler pulley assemblies, and drive belt tensioner.
