When replacing a park signal bulb on Solara Models, start by removing the plastic piece or screw that holds up the housing. After that, pull the housing outwards to get to the bulbs on the back side. Unscrew the bulb holder by turning it to the left and pull straight out of its socket. For installation, reverse the removal steps. To get to the 3 tail light/brake light/signal bulbs in the trunk, lift up the driver-side carpet lining and spin the bulb holders counterclockwise before pulling them out. Pull down the Velcro-latched inspection covers on the trunk lid to access the bulbs, do the opposite when putting them back in. You can replace the license plate light bulbs by removing the light sockets from inside the trunk lid after you take off the trunk liner. Reinstall the lights in the opposite order. First, open the trunk to let go of two plastic clips, grasp the light housing, pull it up, twist the bulb holder in a clockwise direction to take it off, and pull the bulb directly out. To install the light, follow the same steps in reverse order. The instrument cluster illumination bulbs are easy to replace. First take out the instrument cluster, rotate the bulb in a counterclockwise direction to remove it, then reverse the steps for installation. To replace the interior light, free the lens by prying it off the cover. Then, unplug the bulb from its terminal ends and, if needed, apply a little pressure to the ends so the bulb doesn't break. Reinstall the bulb and lens the same way around.
