  A: First of all, the power window system operates electric motors to raise and lower the windows and it consists of control switches, relays, motors, regulators, glass mechanisms, and wiring. The windows can be controlled from the driver's master switch or from remote switches at each window. The system only works when the ignition switch is ON, and there may be a window lock-out switch at the master control switch. If the power windows are not working, check the Fuse and circuit breaker first. If only the rear windows are affected or only work from the master switch, check the rear Power Window Switch. Check the wiring for continuity and repair, if needed. If one window is not working from both switches, check for voltage at the switch and motor. If voltage is present, check for glass or regulator damage. Check the wiring, relays, and grounding if the voltage does not reach the motor. Test the windows after repairs to make sure they are functioning correctly.
