Raise the window, then remove the door trim panel and watershield. Working through the large access hole, disengage the rod from the handle, noting that all door lock rods are attached by plastic clips which can be removed by unsnapping the portion engaging the connecting rod and pulling the rod out of its locating hole. Remove the door lock cylinder, disconnect the electrical connectors at the latch, and remove the screws securing the latch to the door before taking out the latch assembly through the door opening. Installation is the reverse of removal. To access the outside handle and door lock cylinder, remove the plug from the end of the door and the lock cylinder retaining screw, then withdraw the lock cylinder from the door. Remove the mounting fastener for the handle from the inside of the door and take out the handle frame, with installation being the reverse of removal. For the inside door handle, release the lever retainers to disengage it from the door, disengage the lever-to-latch cables, and remove the lever, with installation again being the reverse of removal.
